薛若哲，畢業於倫敦皇家藝術學院，現於北京工作及生活。作品展現特定個體的雙重形象之間的張力，藝術家將完全處於放鬆狀態的人物置於仿佛另一個世界的氣氛裏，同時每個人的行為模式都與站在旁邊的同一個人大不相同。清晰的身體聯繫強調了觀者的超然感，因為這種相似性並沒有反映在被描繪對象的心理活動中，展現在年輕人在現實中扮演不同身份之間的變化和對立。

Xue Ruozhe

Xue ruozhe is born in Xuzhou. Graduated from Royal College of Art, London, Xue lives and works in Beijing now. His works show the tension between the double characters of an individual. By placing the character at her relaxed state in a totally different atmosphere, everyone’s behavior is different from the one beside. The clear connection emphasize the sense of detachment of the audience because the similarity doesn’t reflect in subject’s mental activity. It shows the inverse between different roles that the youth play in the reality.
